Job Summary

Manager, National Sales role responsible for owning and growing the Walmart and Sam’s Club relationship, developing annual joint business plans, driving volume and profitability, leading sales presentations and item sell-ins, analyzing retail data to identify opportunities, collaborating with Marketing to create retailer-specific programs, coordinating with Supply Chain for forecasting and in-stock performance, and leveraging AI tools to grow revenue. The role requires senior-level leadership, strong cross-functional collaboration, data-driven storytelling, expertise in retail analytics and syndicated data, and the ability to travel to meet retail partners. Strong background in CPG sales, experience with large retail accounts, and proficiency with CRM tools and Microsoft Office are expected.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, marketing, or a related field
  • 5+ years of progressive CPG sales experience, with direct Walmart and/or Sam’s Club account management strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated success managing large, complex retail accounts with full P&L accountability
  • Experience developing and presenting joint business plans and managing trade funds
  • Deep knowledge of Scintilla, Madrid, and retail analytics platforms
  • Proficiency with syndicated data tools (IRI/Circana, Nielsen)
  • Strong analytical and financial acumen; ability to translate data into compelling, action-oriented narratives
  • Experience with CRM or account planning tools
  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook), Claude, ChatGPT
  • Background in baked goods, food manufacturing, or related category desired
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; ability to influence and build relationships at all levels
  • Proven ability to lead and influence cross-functionally across multiple departments
  • Ability to work cross-functionally, convey complex issues, and maintain confidentiality
  • Detail oriented with the ability to organize and prioritize, show flexibility, and multi-task to execute simultaneous projects and activities to meet objectives and deadlines
  • Self-motivated, goal oriented, quality driven, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision
  • Willingness to travel as required to meet with retail partners and attend internal business reviews
