Job Summary
Scale the Kids & Baby assortment by adding, refining, and improving product categories while identifying expansion opportunities for long-term growth. Partner with product development, sourcing, and technical design to develop and enhance products, collaborating closely with planning, site merchandising, and marketing to drive sales targets, customer ratings, and improved margins. Obsess over quality, price, sustainability, and safety standards to delight the customer base, leveraging merchandising analytics and data tools to prioritize category strategy and assortment decisions. Anticipate parent and child needs by balancing the science and art of retail merchandising within a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
Required Qualifications
- Role is based in San Francisco, California, with 3 days per week in office requirement
- 5-10 years of retail merchandising experience in Kids & Baby categories
- preferably with luxury or premium brand expertise
- E-commerce experience and/or DTC experience preferred
- Proven track record of progressing within an organization and demonstrating continuous growth in roles and responsibilities
- Mastery of merchandising analytics—leverage sales data, customer metrics, and reporting tools to drive category strategy and assortment decisions, prioritizing quantitative based insights
- Product obsessed with experience in leveraging data tools and external sources
- Critical eye to anticipate parent and child needs (both the "science" and "art" of retail merchandising)
- Highly organized, detail-oriented and analytical with focus on execution, problem-solving, improving processes and brand enhancement
- Continuous learner and highly curious; always open to considering new perspectives; proactive when changing course and facing added challenges
- Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
- Motivated by working in a fast-paced collaborative environment, where flexibility to stretch into or out of functional comfort zones is crucial for team success
