Job Summary
Manager of Media Operations will coordinate and execute broadcast operations for U.S. Soccer events including national team and youth matches, and the Lamar Hunt U.S. Open Cup; assist with production planning and on-site/off-site operational needs; service visiting federations and international rights holders with onsite/remote production; foster relationships with production contacts, tv and radio rights holders, and sport betting partners; support enhanced broadcast needs including Video Assistant Referee (VAR) and virtual advertising signage; produce and distribute production-related documents and oversee budget processing and financial accountability; document workflow processes and technical requirements to ensure accurate broadcasts across domestic and international rights holders; demonstrate leadership, analytical decision-making, and empathic management in a dynamic, goal‐driven environment.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Minimum 5 years of experience in sports and/or live event broadcast operations
- Proven experience in broadcast production and rights management
- Knowledge of soccer broadcasting standards
- Ability to manage multiple concurrent events through multitasking and prioritizing efficiently
- Ability to deliver high quality work and execute under pressure/deadlines
- Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills
- Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. Experience with accreditation software is a plus
- Able and willing to travel 50% of the time
- Able and willing to work non-traditional hours including evenings and weekends as needed
- General knowledge of soccer
- Capable of working in fast-paced and demanding environments
- Must be able to connect 'micro' details to the 'macro' vision and mission
