Job Summary
Lead a team of engineers and designers to drive new product development, legacy product support, and sustain production while maintaining design integrity and compliance with AS9100 and ISO9001 standards. Apply mechanical engineering principles, GD&T, and tolerance analysis to define designs, perform FEA and thermal validations, and execute design verification strategies. Support production by troubleshooting issues, partnering with manufacturing and quality to resolve nonconformances, and implementing design updates. Provide technical inputs for RFPs and define departmental development processes to foster a culture of continuous improvement. This dual manager and engineer role requires US citizenship and leads a multidisciplinary team in the aerospace and defense industry.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree
- minimum 9 years of prior relevant experience
- Graduate Degree and a minimum of 7 years of prior related experience
- In lieu of a degree, minimum of 13 years of prior related experience
- Professional experience using CAD software such as Solid Edge, SolidWorks, NX etc
- Professional experience with GD&T application and interpretation according to ASME Y14.5 and ASME Y14.100
- Professional experience with dimensional stack-up/tolerance analysis
- US Citizenship
Desired Qualifications

- Strong fundamentals in mechanics, vibration, fatigue, and thermal concepts
- Experience with DFMA and manufacturing processes
- Familiarity with AS9100 / ISO 9001 quality systems and working in a regulated environment
- Experience with FEA tools and test validation methods
- Advanced degree (MS) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering
- An active DoW Secret Security Clearance
