Manager MDM (Master Data Management)

Job Summary
Direct the team's delivery of MDM platform operations, including domain data models, match/merge logic, survivorship rules, hierarchies, and golden record management across Customer, Vendor, Material, and Reference domains. Ensure mastered data meets production-readiness standards for downstream analytics, reporting, and AI use cases while holding the team accountable for platform reliability and governance compliance. Own execution of MDM governance, stewardship workflows, and domain harmonization to embed metadata, lineage, and access controls into processes. Lead a team of approximately four analysts and engineers, fostering a culture of operational discipline and accountability through intentional engagement and clear performance expectations. Represent the MDM function in IT architecture reviews and audit inquiries, ensuring consistent definitions and code sets across regions and source systems.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Management, or a related field
- 7+ years of experience in master data management, data management, or enterprise data governance
- at least 3 years in a people leadership or team management role
- Demonstrated experience managing MDM platform operations across multiple data domains (e.g., Customer, Vendor, Material, Reference) in an enterprise environment
- Strong knowledge of MDM concepts including domain modeling, match/merge frameworks, survivorship logic, hierarchy management, and golden record resolution
- Experience with enterprise data management platforms (e.g., Informatica MDM, IDMC, or equivalent)
- Effective communication skills, with the ability to partner across data engineering, data governance, business stakeholders, and represent the MDM function in architecture reviews and audit inquiries
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future sponsorship
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in a technical or business-related field, or equivalent advanced experience
- Professional certification such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP) or equivalent
- Experience in manufacturing, industrial, or sustainability-focused organizations where master and reference data are critical to operations
- Experience leading data domain harmonization across multi-region, multi-source-system environments
- Familiarity with enterprise privacy and data protection concepts (e.g., GDPR) as they apply to master data domains
- Experience integrating MDM with data lakes, analytics platforms, governance catalogs, or data marketplaces in cloud-native environments
