Job Summary
Lead the plant materials team in purchasing, shipping, production planning, and customer service to maintain uninterrupted raw material supply and levelized facility production. Coordinate production scheduling with external vendors, manage inventory control and order entry, and detect engineering change activities. Ensure accurate forecast transmission to reduce obsolescence exposure while managing quarterly physical inventories and all traffic and transportation costs. Support corporate materials initiatives and participate in management meetings for operational planning. This role requires less than 5% travel and reports to the General Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years of experience in manufacturing, including material control, warehousing, and supervision
- Experience preferably within the automotive supply industry
- Two years college
- Demonstrated knowledge of Ford, GM and FCA ordering, release and global capacity systems
- WERS system knowledge
- A minimum score of 50 on the Wonderlic Select Assessment (Traditional Score of 26 on the cognitive portion)
- Less than 5% travel
