Job Summary
Set and own Thundermist's marketing and communications strategy, including developing the annual plan with measurable goals and timelines. Direct social media execution across all channels, manage graphic design and video production, and update the WordPress website with content and SEO fundamentals. Draft executive remarks and internal announcements, coordinate community events, and represent the organization at coalitions and public forums. Maintain branding guidelines and stylebooks as authoritative sources for organizational identity. Full-time role (40 hours/week) with a hybrid schedule of three on-site days and remote flexibility. Evening and weekend availability required for community events.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in communications, marketing, journalism, public relations, or a related field — or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of progressive marketing/communications experience with demonstrated experience developing and owning a strategic plan
- Proficiency in graphic design and video production; experienced with Adobe Creative Suite, Canva, and WordPress
- Proficient with social media management (Meta Business Suite) and email marketing tools (e.g., Mailchimp)
- Working knowledge of web analytics and SEO tools including Google Analytics 4, Google Search Console, and Google Ads
- Familiarity with AI tools and strong project management skills across multiple departments and stakeholders
- Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to work independently with minimal oversight
- Availability for evenings and weekends is required as needed to support community events and organizational communications needs
- Occasional travel between Thundermist sites and to community events
Desired Qualifications
- Healthcare, community health center, or FQHC experience
- Experience with media relations, press releases, and reputational/crisis communications — or an interest in growing these skills
