Job Summary
Lead the manufacturing test team by developing and implementing robust test strategies to ensure product quality and reliability. Oversee the design and improvement of test systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement in test operations. Partner with Design Engineering, Manufacturing, and Quality Assurance to integrate test requirements early, optimize scalability, and establish clear feedback loops between test data and quality metrics. Coordinate with Supply Chain on equipment standards and foster collaboration across global teams to ensure consistent practices. Champion problem-solving by leading reviews of test yield, reliability trends, and equipment performance. Manage team development through goal setting, coaching, and evaluations, and work with automation teams to integrate test systems with manufacturing execution systems. Develop and monitor KPIs for process performance and productivity while maintaining adherence to regulatory and compliance standards.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Experience with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) and test fixture design
- Proven ability to develop and implement manufacturing test strategies
- Capacity to lead and mentor a team of technical professionals
- Aptitude for overseeing the design and deployment of test systems
- Demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement in manufacturing test processes
- Capability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in programming languages such as LabVIEW, Python, or C/C++
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop team members
- Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels
- Strong problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges
- Successful candidates for this position will be required to undergo background checks including criminal records check and education
Desired Qualifications
- Master's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (Preferred)
- Knowledge of quality management systems and processes (e.g., ISO 9001, Six Sigma) is desirable
