Job Summary
Manage the Product Value Stream from contract award to final customer delivery, ensuring accountability for Safety, Quality, Delivery, Employee, and Cost expectations across assigned programs. Drive continuous improvements to meet SQDEC goals while collaborating with Operations, Engineering, and Business Support Functions. Execute staffing strategies, maintain equipment per preventative maintenance schedules, and provide inputs for customer proposals regarding labor estimates and schedule durations. Own daily management activities including Gemba, Obeya, and Stand-Ups, and ensure financial integrity through planning, budgeting, and forecasting. Communicate key issues related to safety, security, quality, delivery, employee, and cost to site leadership. Support talent development through performance management, coaching, and succession planning while maintaining AS9100 and NADCAP compliance.
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of relevant experience with a Bachelor's degree
- 7 years of relevant experience with a Masters' degree
- 4 years of relevant experience with a PhD
- an additional 4 years of experience may be considered in lieu of degree
- First Line Manager experience in aerospace composite fabrication shop
- Leadership experience, demonstrating an ability to lead, build and manage effective cross-functional teams in an aerospace manufacturing environment
- Ability to solve problems and drive continuous improvements
- Basic understanding of Microsoft Project, Excel, Word and PowerPoint
- Ability to work flexible schedule, which may include weekends
- Knowledge and experience to develop and execute process standards focused on product area value streams and risk management identification and mitigation
- Ability to obtain security clearance
- U.S. Citizenship
