Manager – Manufacturing Data & Analytics

Job Summary
Lead the delivery of manufacturing data, analytics, and visualisation solutions, including standardised dashboards and reporting frameworks. Translate business needs into scalable data products and actionable insights supporting operational performance and continuous improvement. Drive delivery of the Operational Excellence Strategy data and insights components aligned to business priorities. Identify and implement improvements in data pipelines, analytics approaches, and visualisation practices. Champion the value of data and insights across manufacturing stakeholders to enable adoption of self-service analytics and standardised data sources. Apply and embed data governance, data quality, and data management practices within manufacturing operations. Attract, develop, and retain the best team to deliver Cochlear's current and future business objectives. This permanent full-time role is based at Macquarie University headquarters.
Required Qualifications
- Experience developing business measures and metrics for descriptive, diagnostic and predictive analytics
- Experience with Sonar, Snowflake and Tableau
- Experience in data science, analytics, or data engineering within complex environments
- Strong hands-on capability in data visualisation and data storytelling
- Experience delivering end-to-end analytics solutions (data → insight → visualisation)
- Demonstrated experience in building and leading a data analytics team
- Experience applying data governance and data quality principles
- Ability to translate operational problems into data-driven insights
- Strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills
Desired Qualifications
- Exposure to ERP transformations (e.g., S4/HANA environments) is ideal
- Lean Six Sigma or Operational Excellence exposure is preferred
