Job Summary
Provide hands-on support in identifying, diagnosing, and resolving equipment issues to ensure timely corrections and sustained operational performance. Oversee installation, repair, and upkeep operations while managing resources, tools, and personnel to maximize productivity and minimize downtime. Implement preventative maintenance programs, lead hiring and onboarding, and ensure environmental and safety compliance through documented training and monitoring. Track maintenance costs against budgetary goals, manage contractor relationships, and support process improvement teams. Maintain GMP and PPE requirements, participate in facility audits, and assist in designing future production capacities.
Required Qualifications
- 4-6 years Experience as a Maintenance Manager in a high throughput facility in the Food, Pharmaceutical, Beauty, or similar industry
- Proven ability to assign tasks effectively, ensuring the right team members are handling the right responsibilities to maximize efficiency and productivity
- Skilled in identifying and addressing conflicts promptly and professionally, fostering a positive work environment and promoting collaborative solutions
- Ability to engage and build rapport with executive leadership and customers, conveying complex information clearly and confidently to support business objectives
- Experience with MRO management, PM and CM Planning
- Proven experience managing the daily activities and priorities of a technical maintenance team
- Demonstrated experience with CMMS programs
- Ability to track of and report on daily activity
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work efficiently under tight timelines and achieve results, while maintaining high quality
- Outstanding organizational, teamwork, customer service and leadership skills
- Ability to develop trust and rapport with employees, assess individual needs, and tailor coaching to maximize performance and career development
- Ability to identify and mitigate root causes of equipment failure, optimize equipment performance, and reduce downtime to increase operational efficiency
- Ability to contribute meaningfully to team efforts, navigate complex interdepartmental relationships, and work effectively with various stakeholders to drive projects forward
- Technical knowledge of boiler systems, air compressors, water treatment processes, and related equipment
- Familiarity with industry regulations, safety protocols, and preventive maintenance requirements for these systems
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor's Degree in other Engineering disciplines (Electrical, Chemical, etc.)
- Understanding of PLCs, sensors, MMIs, and machine electronics
- CMRP-Maintenance and Reliability Professional
