Job Summary
Lead Mail Operations and Indexing for Group 1001 Insurance by directing mailroom operations (inbound/outbound mail, check handling, and document classification/indexing), coordinating with postal and shipping vendors, maintaining SOPs, and ensuring compliance and timely processing. Manage and develop Operations Supervisors and Team Leads, optimize workflow to meet SLAs, drive efficiency through automation and digital document management, monitor budgets, and oversee records management, taxonomy/classification protocols, chain of custody, and reporting on mailroom metrics. Requires a high school diploma or GED (Associate’s or Bachelor’s preferred) with 3-5 years in mail/document management and 2+ years of supervisory experience; in-office role in Zionsville, IN (Mon–Fri, 8:00–5:00). Knowledge of HIPAA/SOX compliance and experience with imaging/enterprise document management systems are valued; Lean Six Sigma or process-improvement certification is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3-5 years of mailroom or document management experience
- 2+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience
- Experience with document management systems and mailroom technology
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Proficiency with policy administration systems and Microsoft Office Suite
- Able to stand, walk, lift, and operate mailroom equipment for extended periods of time
