Job Summary
The role leads enterprise AI/ML initiatives at Colgate-Palmolive, bridging strategy and production-grade execution. Responsibilities include architectural design of scalable ML architectures, owning the full ML lifecycle from lab to production, stakeholder collaboration across Marketing, Supply Chain, and Finance, and ensuring governance, security, and reliability in ML solutions. The position requires production-grade Python, SQL, and GCP expertise, experience with Airflow/dbt pipelines, MLOps principles, and integrating advanced AI techniques including LLMs and Generative AI into traditional workflows. Leadership responsibilities include project leadership or supervisory capacity and guiding architecture and coding standards for the team.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (or higher) in Statistics, Data Science, Computer Science, Physics, or Mathematics
- 6+ years of experience in Data Science or ML Engineering, with at least 2 years in a project leadership or supervisory capacity
- Designing and deploying deeply integrated ML use cases spanning multiple business workflows
- Expert-level proficiency in Python (production-grade), SQL, and GCP; hands-on experience with Airflow and dbt
- Advanced proficiency with Agentic Coding systems (e.g., Cursor, Windsurf)
- Strong understanding of MLOps, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and CI/CD frameworks
- Mastery of Bayesian methods, causal inference, and predictive modeling techniques
- Ability to design strategies integrating LLMs and Generative AI into ML workflows
- Data lifecycle management (ETL/ELT) and templated data transformation
