Job Summary
Logistics Manager in Battleboro, NC to assist the Production Manager in planning and scheduling tractors and implementing logistics and transportation. Responsibilities include managing inbound and outbound shipments, reducing transportation costs, optimizing distribution, monitoring shipping documentation, coordinating with Sales Support on shipments, guiding dock personnel, selecting carriers and negotiating rates, and staying up-to-date on carriers, routes, and rates. Requires high attention to detail, excellent communication, and experience with electronic data; SAP experience and Korean language ability are preferred. Minimum education is a high school diploma with 4 years of logistics/transportation experience in a manufacturing environment; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- 4 years of work experience in logistics and transportation in a manufacturing environment
- Demonstrated shipping/receiving experience
- Strong computer skills with Microsoft Excel; SAP experience preferred
- Fluency in English; Korean language preferred
