Job Summary
Supervise daily logistics operations to control, deliver, and distribute products and materials to destination while optimizing inventory levels and transportation networks. Monitor teams and vendors against service level targets, troubleshoot operational issues, and ensure compliance with transportation regulations. Direct support staff and production team members, managing hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions with concurrence from HR Directors. Handle physically demanding tasks including loading and unloading trucks, moving equipment, and operating machinery requiring forklift and SkyTrak certification. Work primarily in a climate-controlled environment with up to 25% travel likely; this safety-sensitive role requires lifting up to 45 pounds and adherence to organizational policies and procedures.
Required Qualifications
- Associate's Degree and 5-7 years' experience OR Equivalent Combination of Relevant Education &/or Experience
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
- Must have any type of one direct report or more
- Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds
- Forklift and SkyTrak certification, or a willingness to obtain these certifications to provide coverage as needed
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position at a desk and/or computer for extended periods of time
- Requires regular movement throughout GD-OTS facilities
- May be requested to work a different shift
- This position is Safety-Sensitive
- Up to 25% travel likely
