Job Summary
Manage people, budgets, and customer commitments for a designated territory by supervising staff, appraising performance, and administering salaries. Drive training on new systems, improve processes, and support engineering teams and contractors with quality and process adherence. Negotiate and bid projects with vendors for OSP facilities while managing capital and expense budgets to meet build schedules for FTTT, Ethernet, GPON, and business as usual work. Communicate cost analysis results, direct network impact for major plant additions, and lead local virtual teams. Serve as the interface on construction matters to ensure conformance to established practices. Maintain an outstanding relationship with the RP/GM Operations Team and lead market meetings. Must be accessible 24x7x365.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience and training
- 2-4 years of telecommunications engineering and construction knowledge and experience
- 1+ year of previous supervisory or leadership experience
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Strong computer skills required, including experience with the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Access, Outlook, etc.)
- Must be accessible 24 X 7 X 365
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
