Job Summary
Oversee daily walk-up kiosk operations at Denver International Airport, managing rapid queue recovery and modeling fast-paced hospitality standards. Lead the barista team through hiring, training, scheduling, and in-the-moment coaching on recipe accuracy and cash-handling procedures. Ensure strict compliance with health department regulations and airport safety standards while maintaining fully merchandised grab-and-go displays and coolers. Assist with labor optimization, product waste tracking, and supply ordering to support financial controls. Monitor coffee brewing equipment and coordinate technical repairs to maintain kiosk functionality. Step in independently during the General Manager's absence to lead shifts and uphold operational consistency across the compact terminal environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must pass a federal background check and fingerprinting to obtain a Denver International Airport (DEN) security badge
- 2-4 years of progressive café, coffee shop, or restaurant management/leadership experience
- Proven ability to lead, cross-train, and motivate a fast-moving team while inspiring individual accountability
- Strong knowledge of customer service, register/POS systems, cash-handling procedures, food safety, and airport-specific operational regulations
- Solid financial savvy with practical experience in labor scheduling, tracking product waste, and managing inventory stock levels
- Flexible availability including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays to manage multi-shift airport kiosk operations
- Must be able to bend, reach, lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a federal background check
