Job Summary
Manager, Lighting role overseeing the development of lighting plans, coordination with external resources and internal teams, and management of installation, maintenance, and removal for venue(s) supporting the Olympic/Paralympic Games. Requires advanced lighting design knowledge, experience with temporary infrastructure/overlay, strong collaboration across stakeholders, and ability to coordinate with multiple internal functional areas to meet IOC/OBS and industry standards. On-site work in Los Angeles with potential evenings/weekends during peak event periods. Salary $120,000–$155,000 with no relocation assistance.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Lighting, Theater/Live Entertainment, or Technical Direction preferred
- 5+ years of experience with lighting design and installation
- Experience with temporary infrastructure and overlay
- Experience on teams delivering complex, high-profile infrastructure projects
- Advanced knowledge of industry tools and software (Revit, AutoCAD, Vectorworks, AGI32 etc.)
- Advanced knowledge of the properties of light (Intensity, Angle, Form, Color Temperature, Color Rendering, LED Flicker)
- Advanced knowledge of lighting control system functionality (DMX, dimming, relays)
- Detail-oriented with productivity and collaboration tools (Office360, SharePoint, Smartsheet, Autodesk Cloud)
- Knowledge of IES standards, NFPA lighting requirements
- Knowledge of lighting activities (site prep, installation, maintenance, removal)
- Knowledge of basic project management concepts (scope, schedule, budget)
- Familiarity with temporary infrastructure projects in addition to permanent construction processes
- Demonstrated commitment to co-creation and collaborative decision-making
- Willingness to visit venues and work on-site as needed
- Available to work onsite in our Downtown Los Angeles-based office
