Job Summary
Manager, Leadership & Legacy Giving responsible for actively managing a portfolio of legacy gifts and donor relationships; developing and executing strategies with marketing to grow the legacy giving program; coordinating donor communications and materials; guiding life insurance and professional advisor collaborations; maintaining donor records, and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize fundraising campaigns and donor migration. Requires university degree and 3+ years of fundraising experience, strong relationship-building and strategic thinking, and proficiency with donor data systems (e.g., Blackbaud CRM).
Required Qualifications
- University degree or other advanced post-secondary education
- 3+ years of fundraising experience
- Ability to build new and long-term relationships with donors, volunteers, and colleagues
- Proven track record of cultivating, soliciting, and closing planned gifts, as well as outright current gifts
- Knowledge of planned giving vehicles, marketing strategies, and market trends
- Ability to think strategically and work independently in driving new initiatives or enhancing existing programs
- Able to exercise discretion and tact with sensitive and confidential situations
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and changing environment
- Team player mindset
- Strong verbal and written and storytelling skills
- Exceptional organization skills and ability to manage multiple projects within tightly prescribed timelines
- Excellent computer skills (Microsoft 365); and experience with data management systems (Blackbaud CRM)
