Job Summary
Oversee daily last mile operations by maintaining contractor schedules, monitoring routes and reports, and using route planning software to build efficient delivery paths. Manage dispatch of contract carriers, resolve operational issues, and allocate additional resources as needed. Develop and mentor staff through training on company policies, interviewing, hiring, and addressing performance or complaints. Ensure compliance with corporate warehouse policies and laws while taking photos for every job. Identify problem areas to restructure routes and improve efficiencies, ensuring all work completes accurately within established timeframes. Requires 5 years of logistics experience, bilingual English/Spanish skills, and availability for varied shifts including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 5 years of related logistics and supervisory experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office such as Word, Outlook, and Excel
- Availability to work a variety of shifts, including holidays, days, evenings, nights, and weekends
- Availability to travel between branches and regions occasionally
- Bilingual English/Spanish (read, write, and speak both languages)
- Strong business acumen with the willingness to act in partnership with management teams
