Job Summary
Oversee site land and water resources at the Sierrita operations to secure water resources and protect shareholder value. Direct staff in water rights and supply planning; manage outside legal counsel on agreements and settlements; provide expertise in hydrogeology, regulations, permitting, agency rulemaking, budgeting, forecasting, and water legislation. Lead tracking of KPIs related to land holdings, water supply, and water rights; oversee real estate matters including leasing and easements; direct development of property budgets and management of site-based assets. Provide coordinated access to legal advice on land and water issues; track regulatory activity; manage financial assurance reporting; support financial and risk audits; mentor employees; perform other assigned duties.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in geology, hydrogeology, or a similar technical field or equivalent experience
- 8 years of experience developing and managing water or land resources for private, public, or industrial use
