Job Summary
Provide strategic and operational leadership for regional laboratory services, aligning goals with the Munson Healthcare strategic plan. Oversee clinical and operational functions across regional laboratories, ensuring high-quality patient specimen collection, testing services, regulatory compliance, and accreditation standards. Develop and manage operating and capital budgets, monitor productivity, and implement corrective actions to achieve financial goals. Lead quality, performance improvement, and customer service initiatives while evaluating emerging technologies and implementing new testing capabilities. Partner closely with 11 board-certified pathologists to drive operational excellence and innovation across the health system.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Clinical Laboratory Science (Medical Technology/Medical Laboratory Science) or a related healthcare or science field
- ASCP certification
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical laboratory experience
- Munson Healthcare requires all employees be vaccinated or have lab confirmed immunity for Measles, Mumps, Rubella and Varicella
- MHC also requires all employees to receive a flu vaccine during the flu season in the year that they are hired and annually thereafter, or receive an approved medical or religious exemption
Desired Qualifications
- Prior supervisory or management experience
- Candidates with an associate degree, 10 years of laboratory experience, and at least 1 year of supervisory/coordinator experience may be considered
- A bachelor's degree and ASCP certification must be obtained within 3 years of hire
