Job Summary
Manager, Labor Relations Strategy & Engagement (Remote) leads Labor Relations for North America field locations across multiple business lines. Responsibilities include identifying and recommending labor-relations strategies, developing workforce-experience programs, managing metrics, identifying training needs and delivering training (virtual and in-person), ensuring compliance with company policies and federal/state/local laws, providing direct reactive employee relations support, managing union organizing activities and risk mitigation, staying informed on strike actions and labor issues, facilitating communications with Global Investigations, Global Risk & Safety, and senior leadership, and acting as a liaison with HRBP and COEs to advance programs and policies. The role requires leadership in front-line coaching, roundtables and site visits, and influencing organizational effectiveness through SME-level guidance on workforce experience and culture. Required Qualifications
- Minimum 5-8-10 years of HR and/or Labor Relations experience
- Broad knowledge of labor relations across the US and Canada
- Strong experience with proactive labor relations strategies and risk mitigation
- Understanding of federal and relevant state/provincial laws (e.g., FMLA, ADA, EEOC) and NLRB/Ministry of Labour considerations
- Ability to communicate and present effectively to all levels of the organization including leadership and hourly staff
- Proficiency with Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides) a plus
- Ability to develop and deliver training materials (virtual and in-person)
- Experience conducting complex investigations and mitigating risk per EEOC/DOL/NLRB policy
- Ability to lead and serve as trusted advisor to front line supervisors and managers
- Ability to partner with HR Shared Services, HRBP, and Centers of Excellence
- Experience in labor relations within North America, including union organizing activities
- Policy/program development and workforce experience strategy
- Data gathering, metrics development, and reporting for proactive labor relations strategies
