Job Summary

Leads a high-performing team of cloud engineers and software engineers to advance the organization's cloud journey, defining strategy with product management, developing and driving high-level initiatives, setting timelines, and leading cross-functional teams from design through delivery. Applies software engineering best practices to web applications and services, provides technical guidance to teams, establishes development and deployment standards with architects, leads hiring and career development for engineering staff, and ensures operational excellence including production support and incident management, with occasional off-hours support as needed. Emphasizes automation, Infrastructure as Code (IaC), containerization using Kubernetes, and cloud-native design across Azure and AWS, while advocating for platform engineering, reliability, and continuous improvement. Requires a Bachelor's degree and 8 years of Java development experience, plus experience with API frameworks/REST and web services; a Master’s degree and airline experience are preferred.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training
  • 8 years of Java Development Environment (JDE) experience
  • 2 years Application Programming Interface (ADI) framework / REST development
  • 2 years in web services (mid-range) development
