Job Summary
Manager, IT Security Operations & AI Enablement leads day-to-day IT security operations and accelerates the adoption of AI-enabled capabilities to enhance detection, response, and operational efficiency. Oversees offshore SOC analysts, drives AI-driven automation and enrichment, and creates AI-assisted playbooks. Responsible for documenting and maintaining SOC processes, coordinating incident response across security teams and vendors, and promoting safe AI usage. Requires experience in SOC environments, SIEM and cloud security, and hands-on AI tool usage; preferred CISSP/CISM or related certifications. This role combines security operations leadership with AI enablement to improve detection, response times, and overall security outcomes. Location is Denver, CO with a Hybrid work model and on-call duties.
Required Qualifications
- College degree or 5–7 years of experience in IT with exposure to IT operations
- 5+ years of experience in IT Security or Security Operations
- 3+ years of supervisory experience
- Experience in a Security Operations Center (SOC) environment
- Proficiency with SIEM, detection tools, and security platforms
- Experience in a cloud environment (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
- Experience with automation, scripting, or orchestration tools
- Hands-on experience with AI tools (e.g., ChatGPT, Copilot) in operational workflows
- Understanding of applying AI/LLMs to detection, response, and security operations
- Familiarity with AI risks (data leakage, hallucinations, misuse)
- Ability to identify and drive AI adoption opportunities across operations
- Demonstrated leadership in driving adoption of AI capabilities
- Strong communication with customers, peers, management, contractors, and vendors
