Job Summary
Lead and develop the network administration team while overseeing infrastructure projects and acting as a senior hands-on resource for network engineering escalations. Manage high-density wireless network infrastructure within arenas and office locations, ensuring seamless performance for fans, media, and operations. Oversee switches, routers, and next-gen firewalls, driving strategy for new technologies with minimal disruption. Partner with security teams to implement robust controls, serve as the primary escalation point for complex issues, and enforce governance policies with detailed documentation. Provide on-site leadership during critical events and manage vendor relationships. Full-time onsite role in San Francisco; flexible hours including evenings and weekends to support game schedules.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science or technology field, or equivalent work experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience designing, deploying, securing, and supporting complex WiFi and LAN/WAN technologies
- 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role directly managing network administrators or an infrastructure team
- Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, holidays, and extended hours as dictated by game and event schedules
Desired Qualifications
- Experience supporting high-density network environments in retail, large entertainment venues, or stadiums
- Advanced certifications such as Aruba (ACSP, ACMA, HPE-CA, HPE-S), Cisco (CCNA/CCNP), or Palo Alto (PCNSE/PAN-NGFE)
- CompTIA Network+ or equivalents
