Job Summary

Oversee daily inventory transactions across receiving, put-away, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and cycle counts within a large parts and supplies distribution center. Lead cycle counting programs, location audits, and SKU accuracy reviews while investigating discrepancies such as mis-picks, shortages, and bin errors. Maintain inventory control processes, standard work, and SOPs to ensure accurate system updates for receipts, transfers, and shipments. Collaborate with distribution operations, transportation, procurement, and finance teams to support customer orders and minimize service disruption. Supervise inventory control analysts, clerks, and associates, training them on procedures and system usage. Generate inventory reports on accuracy, turns, shrink, and fill rates to drive continuous improvement and present findings to leadership. Ensure compliance with internal controls, SOX requirements, and safety expectations.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience)
  • 8+ years of inventory control, distribution, warehouse, or supply chain operations experience in a high-volume environment
  • Proven success leading inventory control teams in large, multi-shift, high-SKU distribution center operations
  • Strong knowledge of inventory accuracy, cycle counting, root-cause analysis, warehouse process controls, Lean methodologies, KPIs, and operational best practices
  • Experience supporting distribution center operations, including receiving, replenishment, picking, packing, shipping, returns, and transportation interfaces
  • Proficiency with WMS/ERP systems, preferably SAP, EWM, TM, and Microsoft Office tools
  • Strong leadership, decision-making, analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced distribution environment

Desired Qualifications

  • Experience in HVAC, service parts, aftermarket parts, industrial supplies, or similar high-SKU parts distribution environments
  • Hands-on experience launching, scaling, or optimizing a large distribution facility, inventory control function, or WMS-enabled operation
