Job Summary

Manage the Customs & Trade Compliance program across the US and Canada to mitigate risk, identify strategic opportunities, and drive cost reduction. Ensure adherence to laws and regulations while monitoring changes in trade legislation to assess impacts on cost and risk. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to clarify trade and customs aspects, review classifications for accuracy, and assist in audit defense activities. Provide training and guidance on trade topics, including Forced Labor reviews, and define guidelines for tariff mitigation strategies based on CBP regulations. Create PowerBI reports from the ACE portal to facilitate impact analysis and support remedial action tracking.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in relevant area
  • 7+ years of progressive experience in international trade compliance, with a strong focus on corporate governance, risk management, and regulatory oversight
  • Proven expertise in managing and auditing complex trade programs, including Foreign Trade Zones (FTZ), Duty Drawback, and Antidumping/Countervailing Duties (AD/CVD)
  • Strong technical proficiency in global trade systems, including advanced experience using the US Customs and Border Protection Automated Commercial Environment (ACE) portal
  • Demonstrated ability to identify, analyze, and mitigate trade-related risks and tariff exposure within a fast-changing and volatile regulatory environment
  • Proven track record of successful stakeholder management, with the communication skills necessary to translate complex customs regulations into actionable business strategies for cross-functional teams
  • Sharp analytical background with verified experience reviewing, validating, and defending harmonized tariff classifications for accuracy
  • High proficiency in MS Office suite and data analytics tools, specifically utilizing Power BI to extract data, build compliance dashboards, and conduct impact analyses
  • Must be able to create reports within PowerBI with information extracted from the ACE portal
  • Must be able to run ad hoc reports on request from the ACE portal
  • Must be able to review classifications for accuracy
  • Must be able to assist in Audit defense activities
  • Must be able to support in Forced Labor review and evaluation
  • Must be able to review audit reports, identify key findings and trends, support remedial actions, and track such actions to completion
  • Must be able to assist with monitoring of applicable regulations and help assess the potential changes needed to meet new requirements
  • Must be able to prepare and deliver training materials on trade topics
  • Experience with Foreign Trade Zones, Duty Drawback and Antidumping/Countervailing Duties from a governance perspective
  • Must be available for weekend shifts
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs

Desired Qualifications

  • Prior experience managing trade compliance programs across both US and Canadian jurisdictions, including familiarity with CBSA regulations
  • Hands-on experience establishing governance frameworks for supply chain traceability and conducting Forced Labor risk reviews or evaluations
  • Experience leading or defending formal regulatory audits and managing structured remedial action plans from identification to completion
