Job Summary
Manage the instrumentation manufacturing team allocation, training, and career development to ensure deadlines and demands are met. Oversee the physical manufacturing facility, aligning workspace, parts storage, and material flow with scope, cost estimates, and scheduling. Ensure health and safety rules are followed while maintaining ISO compliance. Implement creative approaches to drive continuous improvement in product design and manufacturing processes. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders, including vendors, to align manufacturing initiatives with business objectives. This role supports the production of instruments enabling cutting-edge life sciences research, requiring advanced engineering degrees and 10+ years of production management experience in regulated environments.
Required Qualifications
- Advanced degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
- 10+ years of production management experience in a regulated environment
- Knowledge and experience of high precision electro-mechanical assembly systems
- Mechanical, electrical and optical component fabrication, assembly and calibration techniques
- Proficiency with common ERP systems
- SAP
- Demonstrated manufacturing management and planning experience with multiple product lines
- Previous experience with GMP and/or clean room environments
- Previous experience in biological manufacturing or medical device fields
