Job Summary
Cybersecurity Instructional Designer to develop engaging, accurate, and accessible security awareness and compliance training content for technical and non-technical audiences. Design and develop story-driven microlearning modules (30 seconds to 5 minutes), translate complex topics into clear learning experiences, write realistic scenarios on phishing, AI threats, social engineering, NIST, HIPAA, GDPR, and secure development practices. Tailor messaging for IT professionals, developers, and general employees. Independently build subject-matter expertise and use eLearning, video, and design tools to produce accessible content. Collaborate with internal stakeholders to align with security awareness goals and compliance requirements.
Required Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience creating cybersecurity, security awareness, or compliance training content
- 3+ years of instructional design, curriculum development, adult learning, microlearning, or storyboarding
- 3+ years of experience writing content for both technical and non-technical audiences
- 3+ years of experience researching cybersecurity or compliance topics and developing original training content
- 2+ years of hands-on experience using eLearning, video, or design tools such as Vyond, Articulate Rise, Storyline, Synthesia, Camtasia, Canva, or Captivate
