Job Summary
Lead and develop a cross-functional team of data engineers, analysts, and AI specialists to build and maintain data pipelines and insights platforms that enable data-driven decision-making across TELUS’ AI Community Insights portfolio. Translate strategic objectives into actionable data roadmaps supporting community engagement, marketing performance, and customer growth; foster responsible AI, data ethics, and privacy compliance; collaborate with GTM, Marketing, Sales, Systems, and PMO to align data capabilities with business outcomes; drive adoption of NLP, predictive modeling, and real-time insights, and translate analytical findings into clear business recommendations for non-technical audiences. Expect a mix of technical leadership, coordinating data sprints, and partnering with stakeholders to ensure platforms deliver timely intelligence that strengthens TELUS’s connection to customers and communities across Canada.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Analytics, or a related discipline
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, analytics, or AI
- 3+ years of people-leadership experience
- Proven ability to manage complex data projects, define scope and timelines, and deliver measurable business results
- Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Python, data modeling, and cloud environments (preferably Google Cloud Platform)
- Hands-on experience designing and optimizing data pipelines and integrating multiple internal and external data sources
- Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to translate technical detail into business value
- Passion for applying AI and analytics to improve community connection, operational efficiency, and customer experience
Desired Qualifications

- Strong technical proficiency in SQL, Python, data modeling, and cloud environments (Google Cloud Platform preferred)

- Experience with data visualization tools (Looker, Tableau, Power BI) is a plus
- Familiarity with AI/ML pipelines, NLP applications a plus
- Google Cloud, AWS, or Azure certification a plus
- PMP or Agile/Scrum certification a plus
- Basic English proficiency for cross-team interactions
