Manager Income Tax Accounting & Compliance

Job Summary

Execute U.S., U.S.V.I., and non-U.S. income tax accounting and compliance processes, including quarterly and annual provisions, return-to-provision analysis, and accurate filing of corporate and timeshare association tax returns. Lead GAAP-to-tax reconciliations, support audit readiness by responding to auditor inquiries, and conduct tax technical analyses to document MVW's positions across jurisdictions. Drive process improvements through automation and standardization to reduce manual touchpoints while identifying tax risks and escalation opportunities. Collaborate with Finance, Accounting, and external advisors to support strategic initiatives, due diligence, and post-transaction integration activities. Maintain strong tax governance and controls to ensure compliance with SOX and internal audit requirements.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or similar discipline
  • At least five years of progressive work experience in tax accounting and/or compliance or corporate tax experience
  • Foundational knowledge of ASC 740 and U.S. federal, state, U.S.V.I. and/or non-U.S. income tax laws
  • Integrity – Maintains strong ethical standards and compliance with legal, regulatory, and company policies, ensuring a principled approach to all responsibilities
  • Communication Skills – Clearly conveys technical tax concepts into clear, actionable insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • People & Change Management – Coaches junior staff, supports team knowledge building, and participates in process improvements that promote standardization and simplification
  • Technical Competence – Solid ASC 740 and U.S. and/or international tax knowledge; applies sound judgment to evaluate issues and develop well-supported positions with leadership oversight
  • Process-Oriented & Organized – Highly organized with strong attention to detail; effective at managing multiple priorities. Establishes clear accountabilities, demonstrates a hands-on approach, and ensures thorough follow-through
  • Problem Solving – Applies judgement to identify issues and escalate appropriately, proactive in proposing solutions
  • Results-Driven – Demonstrates initiative and follow-through, prioritizes effectively, and completes work accurately and efficiently while identifying and escalating issues appropriately

  • Systems Aptitude – Comfortable working with a broad range of systems and applications, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and effectiveness

Desired Qualifications

  • Certifications CPA preferred
  • Experience with OneSource Tax Provision system preferred
  • Experience supporting tax provision or tax compliance processes preferably for publicly traded companies
