Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) at VIP location in Yarmouth, ME focuses on learning VIP culture and management processes to lead a team, ensure safe operations, and deliver exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities include hiring and developing a superior team; ensuring associates complete LMS and vendor training; ensuring automotive-service knowledge and ASE certifications; scheduling to meet customer needs across all hours; coaching and communicating with the team; supervising work order dispatch to technicians; attending off-site trainings; maintaining facility and equipment; enforcing compliance with the service Code of Ethics and regulations; and acting as policy administrator at the location. The role requires strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, and a solid understanding of automotive servicing and industry practices; minimum two years related management experience and relevant ASE certifications are expected, with a valid driver's license and safety certifications.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
