Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) leads a team to deliver exceptional customer experience while learning VIP’s management processes and safety standards. Responsible for hiring and developing associates, ensuring LMS and vendor training, achieving ASE certifications, scheduling to meet customer needs, supervising dispatching and work orders, conducting daily communications and meetings, and maintaining facility and equipment standards. Requires automotive servicing knowledge, strong leadership and organizational skills, compliance with safety and regulations, and a path to management within an automotive service environment. Location: Worcester, MA; standard work week is 5 days with ~50 hours; exempt status.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- ASE Certifications: C1 Service Consultant required; P2 Parts Specialist recommended; G1 Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- Ability to manage and develop teams, scheduling, training, and compliance
