Job Summary
The Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) will learn VIP’s management processes to lead a team in delivering safe, high-quality customer experiences. Responsibilities include hiring and developing an effective team, ensuring LMS and vendor trainings are completed, coaching associates toward ASE certifications, scheduling to meet service needs, communicating with the team through daily huddles and meetings, monitoring email for customer appointments, driving the 5 for 5 process to educate customers about vehicle conditions and solutions, and coordinating work orders with technicians. The role also covers facility and equipment maintenance, enforcing the service Code of Ethics, and complying with municipal, state, and federal regulations; travel to off-site trainings as needed. The position emphasizes safety, store readiness, policy administration, and achieving targeted performance through regular reporting. Typical schedule is five days per week with minimum 50 hours, in-person operation, salary pay type; location Windham, ME.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
