Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) program to prepare to lead a team in an automotive service environment. Responsible for learning VIP’s culture and management processes, ensuring safe operations, delivering exceptional customer experience, and executing VIP programs and standards. Duties include hiring and developing a high-performing team, ensuring LMS and vendor training completion, achieving automotive service certifications (ASE), proper scheduling to meet customer needs, effective team communication, coaching on the 5 for 5 process to educate customers about vehicle conditions and solutions, dispatching based on technician availability, and participating in off-site trainings. Maintains facility and equipment, ensures regulatory and policy compliance, supports service managers, and acts as policy administrator at the location. Requires strong leadership, communication, business acumen, organization, and knowledge of automotive servicing and industry practices. Standard work week is five days with a minimum of 50 hours. Pay type is Salary.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
