Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) learns VIP’s management processes and culture to lead a team and ensure safe, compliant operation and exceptional customer experiences. Responsibilities include hiring and developing the team, ensuring LMS and vendor training, ensuring ASE certifications for associates, scheduling to meet customer needs, communicating effectively through daily huddles and meetings, managing work orders and the 5 for 5 process to educate customers on vehicle conditions, and maintaining facility and equipment, while adhering to service codes and regulatory requirements. Requires strong leadership, communication, and automotive service knowledge; includes facility/equipment maintenance and adherence to safety policies; typically a 5-day workweek with a minimum 50 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
