Job Summary
Manager-in-Training at VIP Automotive leads a team to deliver an exceptional customer experience, learning VIP processes to prepare for future leadership. Responsibilities include hiring and developing associates, ensuring LMS and vendor training, achieving ASE certifications, scheduling the team across all hours, coaching and communicating effectively, managing work orders and dispatch with technicians, and maintaining facility and equipment safety and compliance. Strong people management, verbal and written communication, business sense, organizational and time-management skills, and comprehensive understanding of automotive servicing are required. Role supports service-management objectives and adherence to the service code of ethics and applicable regulations.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
