Job Summary
Manager-in-Training to lead a store team within VIP’s automotive service environment, focusing on building an exceptional team, delivering a superior customer experience, and ensuring safe, compliant operation. Responsibilities include hiring and developing associates, coordinating LMS and vendor trainings, ensuring ASE certifications for staff, scheduling to meet customer needs, coaching through daily huddles and store meetings, managing service desk operations and work orders, driving the 5 for 5 process to educate customers about vehicle conditions, maintaining facility and equipment standards, and ensuring adherence to the service Code of Ethics and applicable regulations. Requires strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, and a solid understanding of automotive servicing; two years of related automotive service management experience and formal education are recommended, with ASE certifications and a valid driver's license preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
