Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) position in Portsmouth, NH teaches and guides the team to achieve VIP standards and exceptional customer experiences. The MIT learns VIP’s management processes, safety compliance, and how to hire, develop, and schedule staff, manage work orders and vendor training, and execute the 5 for 5 process to educate customers about vehicle conditions and solutions. The role supports service managers, ensures compliance with codes and procedures, and participates in off-site trainings; standard schedule is five days per week with minimum 50 hours. Requires strong leadership, communication, automotive service knowledge, and relevant ASE certifications (C1 required, P2/G1 recommended).
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
