Job Summary
The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager with overall store operations, including selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, and scheduling; promotes merchandise and promotions, upholds policies, and serves as an ambassador for the brand to acquire and retain customers. They assume supervisory responsibilities in the Store Manager’s absence, guide employees in departments, monitor inventory and sales trends, and deliver extraordinary customer service while protecting store assets and adhering to internal controls. The role requires experience in retail, strong communication, leadership potential, and a customer-focused mindset to drive profitability and store performance.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits
- Is a self-starter, has initiative to take on important tasks without being asked
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision
- Is a team-player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise
