Job Summary
The Manager in Training assists the Store Manager with overall store operations including selling, restocking, merchandising, ordering, scheduling, and administrative duties. Leads in the Store Manager’s absence, guides employees across departments, promotes sales and promotions, protects assets, and ensures profitability through inventory awareness and customer service excellence. Requires supervisory readiness, strong communication, a focus on customer experience, and adherence to company policies and standards.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits
- Self-starter with initiative
- Team-player with a passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise
- Strong attention to detail and ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
