Job Summary
Manager in Training assists the Store Manager with overall operations and administrative duties across all departments, ensures adherence to policies and standards, drives sales through exceptional customer service and promotions, and assumes supervisory responsibilities in the Store Manager’s absence. Responsibilities include directing staff, managing inventory and expenses visibility, scheduling, merchandising, and producing extraordinary customer service as outlined in the company manuals. The role requires knowledge of multiple product areas, leadership capability, and the ability to train and guide employees while maintaining store profitability.
Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits
- Self-starter with initiative and attention to detail
- Team-player with a passion for outstanding customer service and selling merchandise
