Job Summary
The Manager in Training will assist the Store Manager with overall store operations, sales, merchandising, scheduling, and administrative duties, stepping in as acting manager in the Store Manager’s absence. Responsibilities include supervising staff in the manager’s absence, guiding departments on selling, restocking, and inventory control, promoting services and merchandise, ensuring high-quality customer service, enforcing company policies, protecting assets, analyzing inventory movement and customer trends, and upholding store standards. Requires experience in retail, strong customer service and communication skills, ability to lead a team in a fast-paced environment, and a proactive, detail-oriented approach to achieving store goals and profitability.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits
- Self-starter, has initiative to take on important tasks without being asked
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision
- Is a team-player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise
