Job Summary
The Manager in Training supports the Store Manager in overall store operations, administration, and execution of sales initiatives. Responsibilities include assisting in planning and implementing merchandising, restocking, ordering and scheduling; supervising in the Store Manager’s absence; guiding employees on department responsibilities; ensuring inventory control, profitability, and adherence to policies across product areas; delivering exceptional customer service and promoting merchandise; and promoting store sales and promotions while upholding company policies and standards. Qualifications emphasize 1-3 years in retail customer service, strong communication, ability to lead a team, multitasking in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and a customer-focused, sales-driven mindset.
Required Qualifications
- Experience working in a retail environment, preferably in footwear and athletic apparel
- 1-3 years of customer service experience
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Ability to assist in managing a team and keep up with overall goals and profits
- Is a self-starter, has initiative to take on important tasks without being asked
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and with precision
- Is a team-player, passionate about outstanding customer service and selling merchandise
