Job Summary
In this Manager in Training role at Stanton Optical, you will greet customers in-store, identify their eyewear needs, and guide them through our promotional sales process to fulfill eyewear requirements while upholding brand standards and safety policies. You will resolve customer inquiries and complaints, work toward sales goals, and participate in basic housekeeping to maintain a clean, compliant store environment. The role emphasizes leadership development and ownership over sales performance, with opportunities for professional growth, benefits, and commission on sales. Strong communication, adaptability in a fast-paced retail setting, and a customer-first mindset are essential, as is the ability to multitask and collaborate with a diverse team. Prior optical experience is a plus, and attendance at a role with flexible scheduling and ongoing training is expected.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year of proven customer service in a fast-paced retail environment
- Demonstrated leadership ability with at least three years of experience in a fast-paced retail environment
- Ability to multitask, prioritize and be flexible with changing business needs in a team environment
- Strong communication skills with a diverse group of people
- Associates degree or 2 years of store management experience
- Schedule flexibility; hours determined by business needs
- Knowledge of MS Word, Google Docs, etc.
- Optical experience is a plus
