Job Summary
Manager-in-Training drives team-building and operational excellence at VIP, learning management processes and safety protocols to prepare for leadership of a service location. Responsibilities include hiring and developing a capable team, ensuring LMS and ASE certifications are completed, scheduling to meet customer demand across all hours, monitoring communications, coaching on customer-condition education and upsell opportunities, dispatching work orders to technicians, and maintaining a compliant, safe, and clean service area. Requires strong people leadership, excellent communication, automotive servicing knowledge, and a valid driver’s license; two years of automotive service management experience and an associate-level education are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
