Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) at VIP Automotive leads a team to deliver exceptional customer experiences and execute VIP programs and standards. The role emphasizes workplace safety as priority, developing a superior team, coordinating training and LMS/ASE certifications, scheduling to meet customer needs, effective communication, and ensuring compliance with service codes and regulations. The M.I.T. supports managing a service location, dispatching work to technicians, and participating in off-site trainings as needed. Standard work week is 5 days with minimum 50 hours; prior experience in automotive service management and leadership is required; completion of a two-year college or technical program is recommended; a valid driver’s license and relevant ASE certifications are required.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
