Job Summary
Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) at VIP’s Manchester location participates in a structured program to learn VIP’s culture and management processes, with the goal of preparing to lead a team and ensure safe, compliant operation, exceptional customer experience, and execution of VIP programs. Responsibilities include hiring and developing a high-performing team, ensuring LMS and vendor training completion, guiding ASE certifications, effective scheduling across all hours, daily team communication and meetings, facilitating customer education on vehicle conditions, dispatching work orders to technicians, and attending off-site trainings as needed, while maintaining facility, equipment, and compliance with service codes and regulations. The role requires strong leadership, communication, organizational skills, automotive industry knowledge, and a valid driver’s license, plus relevant ASE certifications and state license where applicable.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1– Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
