Job Summary
The Manager-in-Training (M.I.T.) role at VIP Automotive focuses on learning management processes, safety, and team development to prepare to lead a location. The M.I.T. ensures a safe workplace, delivers an exceptional customer experience, and helps the team execute VIP programs and standards. Responsibilities include hiring and developing an effective team, ensuring LMS and ASE certifications, scheduling across all hours, maintaining communication, driving the 5 for 5 process with customers, coordinating work orders, attending training, and ensuring facility and equipment upkeep, compliance with ethics and regulations, and supporting store management to meet performance targets.
Required Qualifications
- Two years related experience in automotive service management
- Completion of two-year college or technical school program recommended
- Current, valid driver’s license issued in state of residence
- Equipment Safety Certification
- ASE Certification C1 – Service Consultant required
- ASE Certification P2 – Parts Specialist recommended
- ASE Certification G1 – Maintenance and light repair recommended
- State Inspection License Required (where applicable)
